LADY EDNA BROOKS

 

Lady Edna Brooks is an author, counselor and leader who has had a unique walk and experience with God. She has grown to love Him with her whole body, soul, and spirit. Having been healed by God at an early age of a brain tumor, Lady Brooks believes in the miraculous power of God.

 

For 37 years, Lady Brooks ministered to numerous adults and young people through teaching, leading people to Christ, and counseling with her husband who is the Pastor Emeritus of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Greensboro, Inc. As well as during his time as Bishop of Administration for Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International and currently with Global United Fellowship.

 

Lady Brooks’ desire to see men and women prosper in their spiritual growth led her to teach, inspire, uplift and encourage others through several Bible studies including Word on Wednesday Bible Study, Family Matters and “Sista to Sista”. She and her husband mentor and train pastors and their wives via “The Elijah Project.” Lady Brooks is a powerful teacher who uses practical applications to encourage women, families, and the body of Christ. She and her husband also empower couples through marriage seminars and conferences. She spends many hours counseling and providing assistance to those in need. 

Lady Brooks received her Bachelor of Arts degree from North Carolina A&T State University and a Master of Religious Arts in Christian Psychology from Jacksonville Theological Seminary. She was given an honorary Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from One In Christ Bible College.  She has attended numerous seminars and conferences, which has aided in her personal spiritual growth and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). Prior to retirement, she served as Director of Encouragement at Mount Zion Baptist Church where she had oversight for eighteen (18) ministries including Senior Missionaries, Helping Hands (emergency assistance), Daughters of Destiny, Men of Valor, Partners for Life (marriage ministry), Biblical Counseling, Couples of Hope (lay counseling ministry), Redeemed, Set Free (post-abortion ministry), CanCare (cancer support ministry), Ministry of Helps (volunteer ministry), Scouts(including boy scouts, girl scouts, cub scouts), Cell Groups, SMIRS (young boys), Pearls of Purpose (young girls).

 

Lady Brooks enjoys serving her community. She has worked with Beautiful Butterflies, Inc., a lupus foundation, worked on the campaign for Senator Gladys Robinson and Urban Ministry. 

Lady Brooks is the dedicated wife of Bishop George W. Brooks, mother of Kevin (Kim) and Keva (Calvin), and grandmother of Kaleb, Kiandra (Ryan), Jocelyn, Gavin and the late Keyon J. Brooks.
